New Comment System
I've been experimenting with a few different comment systems, and I've decided to implement Intense Debate for now. This has quite a few advantages over the default Blogger system, including Reply, Edit and reputation capabilities. Give it a try below; only a name is needed (although you can register too)!

Underrated YouTuber: CheeseByMyself
Cheese was pretty undersubbed to begin with, meaning his new channel could use some extra support. I'm sure he's also improved quite a bit after practicing on PO; I'd say he's among the top YouTube battlers at the moment. Check his channel for more great competitive content.
FalTour 7: PenguinX vs Nubagator / Smith - BW OU
Due to a high level of interest in this week's tour, McBawse opted to come up with his own creative brackets. This resulted in a series of Round Robin finals matches between the trio of PenguinX, Nubagator, and newcomer Smith, who came out of nowhere to join the competition.

BOTW 3/1: Bloo vs Stone_Cold - BW OU
The first Battle of the Week match of Season 3 took place between Frontier champion Bloo and master tutor Stone_Cold. Both teams looked to be fairly unique, with some unusual lower-tiered choices thrown in. Will Bloo come out on top, or will his unorthodox team members Jynx his chances at victory?

FalTour 6: Faladran vs PenguinX - DPP OU
After much pressure from BKC and friends, I opted to host yet another DPP OU tour. Ironically, BKC himself was taken out early in R1. It eventually came down to the matchup of Faladran vs Peng, much to the surprise of all involved (not really). Here we go:
Set: Rain Volcarona - BW OU
Volcarona @ Leftovers
Trait: Flame Body
EVs: 160 HP / 252 SAtk / 96 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Quiver Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Fire Blast
- Hurricane
I must admit I was skeptical about Volcarona in Rain, but I'm really glad I tried this set. Even with its Fire STAB nullified, Volcarona still dishes out plenty of damage against the likes of Skarmory and Ferrothorn. More importantly, Hurricane provides an unexpected method of dealing with some of the major threats to Rain teams. I'll personally be using this a lot from now on.
This set utilizes the bulky ChestoRest EVs, along with Hurricane in the last slot. Quiver Dance is an excellent boosting move that makes Volcarona immediately threatening. Bug Buzz and Fire Blast provide powerful STABs to take advantage of the moth's unique typing. While Fiery Dance is the primary option on the standard sets, Fire Blast's power is needed to overcome the nullifying effect of Rain. Hurricane is an unusual move that allows Volcarona to take out a number of threats, including Conkeldurr in addition to the Pokémon listed above.
A spinner is needed to make the best use of Volcarona. Fortunately, Tentacruel and Starmie are both very capable and particularly viable in Rain. Since this set plays an offensive support role in addition to sweeping, it can fit fairly well on most Rain teams. Give it a try; you may be surprised.
RU Stage 2 Results
The only thing to receive a ban was the combo of Shell Smash + Baton Pass, which garnered a 6-1 supermajority from the RU Council. Both Honchkrow and Lilligant will be allowed to stay (the latter received 0 ban votes). Full details here.

FalTour 5: Faladran vs Nubagator - DPP OU
We only got four contestants in for this one: PenguinX, Nubagator, symphonyx64 and myself. Seemed like a pretty strong group, but it eventually came down to Nub and I. This turned out to be a really fun match, especially after my absence from 4th Gen. Also, very original alt name for Nub.
RU Stage 2 Suspects
The suspects for the second stage of RU have been announced, along with the names of the newly chosen council. Voting on Honchkrow, Lilligant, and Shell Smash + Baton Pass will take place today.
Site Patch 3
A few minor updates:

Censorship Sucks
Houston, we have a problem. SOPA (Stop Online Piracy Act) is a new bill that will spell doom for the Internet as we know it. Nearly every major website will be affected, most likely in negative ways. Please click here to petition against the bill and check below for the full details.
2. Streaming copyrighted work will qualify as a felony. The gaming community will be particularly hard-hit. Let's Plays, various gaming videos and use of copyrighted music could potentially result in jail time.
A massive outcry has risen to combat this bill. Sites in opposition of SOPA include Mozilla, Tumblr, 4Chan, Wikipedia and many others. Again, please click the above link to express your opposition to this heinous bill.

Referral Contest 1
The last giveaway received a lot of attention, and I was disappointed that not everyone could win an Acekard. To help make up for it, I'm going to be hosting a contest, with another Acekard as the prize! This will require a bit more effort, but it should be pretty fun for all. Check below for the rules.
1. Come up with a way to attract users to the site. This can be done through a YouTube video, online post or even word-of-mouth. Be creative!
2. Participants should send me links to their entries via the Submit button on the right sidebar. I'll look through them all and make judgments based on quality and creativity.
